Switch ON your laptop without power switch

Not so hard!..


There are few methods to switch your laptop ON


  1. Use USB keyboard which is having POWER button in Keyboard itself.
  2. In Some BIOS, we are having option know as " POWER ON WHILE OPEN LID " , I've have tried once. I'm not saying that every laptop is having this option.  Check if it is not so try with option 1 or 3.
  3. You could just put the computer to sleep when you're not using it then use the keyboard to awaken it.
  4. Locate the port on the motherboard where the ribbon cable for the power button belongs.

    • Disconnect the power button.
    • Take a small conductor (a safety pin or a tiny screw driver) and connect the pins on the power button port. Do this by placing the conductor horizontally on the port letting all the pins on the port touch the conductor simultaneously. (Usually, only the 1st and 3rd pins need to be connected but all laptops are different. Connecting all WONT cause any damage.
    • If done correctly, the circuit will close and start up the laptop
